Musical Frisson

Ever listen to that song, the one that makes the hair stand, the one that makes your heat skip a beat, that one that gets your adrenaline moving, or one that makes your shiver? As it turns out, we all probably have; researchers at McGill group have recently released a study regarding musical frisson, better known as music induced ‘chills.’

This research is the first body of work, connecting and documenting, a correlation between music, and emotion. We all know that music affects our mood, and our thus our performance, but now we have another cite-able source to stand our understanding up.

Read this great overview by Arstechnica, or visit the source directly.
