Musical Frisson

Ever listen to that song, the one that makes the hair stand, the one that makes your heat skip a beat, that one that gets your adrenaline moving, or one that makes your shiver? As it turns out, we all probably have; researchers at McGill group have recently released a study regarding musical frisson, better known as music induced ‘chills.’

This research is the first body of work, connecting and documenting, a correlation between music, and emotion. We all know that music affects our mood, and our thus our performance, but now we have another cite-able source to stand our understanding up.

Read this great overview by Arstechnica, or visit the source directly.

A Website -Again!

And behold, let there be webz!

Finally, after a bit of luxurious down time, we are back with a newly pressed website. I like to think this version better represents our vision, and our passion for what we are doing, why we are doing it, but leaving how to this blog. Admittedly, it still pretty bare-bones over at the main page, but fear not, we will be adding more, more, more.

One particular point of interest for us is those big “HELP NOW” buttons you see on each page. Click on one, and then keep an eye out for our soon to be released Kickstarter.com plea. We’ll be asking thousands of lucky people to put their money where their mouth is, and donate a few dollars to the cause.

stay tuned…
